10 Questions You Should Ask Steve Sisolak Today

July 19, 2022

Today, in his State of the State update, Steve Sisolak will continue to use his official office to campaign for reelection. Following his campaign speech, here’s 10 questions you should ask Steve Sisolak today.

  1. When is Joe Biden coming to campaign for you? Kamala Harris?

  2. When hundreds of Clark County teachers signed a petition calling on you to do something about school safety, you refused to respond. Why did you ignore them?

  3. Why did you and your allies spend millions of dollars helping Joey Gilbert in the Republican primary? Do you think it was inappropriate of a sitting governor to spend millions interfering in his opponent’s primary?

  4. You recently started a small business tour. Do you plan to contact any of the 95,000 small businesses that permanently closed because of your shutdowns and speak with them? As of today, how many of those business owners that closed because of you have you personally spoken with?

  5. Under your tenure, why does Nevada rank as second-worst in the entire country for education?

  6. Do you know what the inflation rate was in February vs what the inflation rate is now?

  7. Do you know what the price of gas was in February vs what the average price for gas is now?

  8. Your spokesperson said the state will cooperate with the federal investigation in Northshore. Have you waived or will you waive your attorney client privilege in the interest of public health and transparency?

  9. Your office has said that you had no discussions with Northshore’s Nevada representatives, Greg and Angelo Palivos, or their father, Peter. To verify this, are you willing to make your personal phone records, texts, and email messages public? If not, why? Would these records contradict your office’s claims that you did not communicate with the Palivos family?

  10. Will you release the communication records of your official staff, your personal lawyers, and your campaign staff? If not, why? Would these records show that your staff had communication with the Palivos family during Northshore’s licensing process?
